MB Mold & Air Quality Testing was founded over 25 years ago as MB Environmental Consulting, Inc. by Mike Buelow. Mike had retired as the head of Asbestos Safety for a large manufacturing company. In his retirement, he opened MB Environmental to test for asbestos and train certified asbestos abatement technicians. After a few years, MB expanded into Mold Testing and Consulting until his retirement in 2017.
In 2017, the name was changed to MB Mold & Air Quality Testing as more emphasis was placed on Air Quality Testing and consulting. MB Mold & Air Quality Testing consults on mold and air quality issues with individuals, businesses and institutional clients in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. We have also consulted nationwide at the request of our clients in the water damage and restoration businesses, normally related to extreme storm damage or other natural disasters.
The Indoor Environmental Professionals at MB Mold and Air Quality Testing are Council Certified by the ACAC with designations including CIE (Certified Indoor Environmentalist), CMI (Certified Microbial Investigator), CMR (Certified Microbial Remediator) and the IICRC with designations including WRT (Water Damage Technician), ASD (Applied Structural Drying), AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician), TCST (Trauma & Crime Scene Technician), as well as being licensed asbestos inspectors.
The staff at MB has decades of combined; asbestos, air quality testing, mold remediation, remediation scope development, environmental liability, risk management, fire & water damage restoration and specialty protocol development (Covid-19) expertise. The firm is currently managed by Robert S. Vohl, CIE, CMI, AMRT the Senior Managing Consultant.
