Methamphetamine & Clandestine Laboratories

Methamphetamine Residue testing is used to determine the remediation scope for a space that was suspected as a meth lab or user area.  The testing is used to identify what building materials need to be removed and what materials can be cleaned, sealed and painted.  PRV (Post Remediation Verification) testing is done for final clearance.

When a property has been a suspected or confirmed as a clandestine laboratory or a “meth house”, law enforcement will remove all of the drug related paraphernalia and lab/cooking equipment.  We will conduct a site visit to inspect and take samples, in an effort to determine the scope or work necessary to return the property to a safe environment for occupancy.  Due to the chance of encountering fentanyl and other hazards, these site visits are conducted in full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) with respiratory protection.
